Fashion is expensive to maintain. We pick tools that will still be sensible in ten years, and keep the moving parts few enough that one person can hold the system in their head.

    One compiled binary. Fast, small, and it starts in milliseconds. No runtime to patch, no dependency tree to audit every quarter.

  • Server-rendered HTML

    Pages that load instantly on a phone with two bars of signal. No framework churn, no build step, and it still works when JavaScript does not.

  • SQL you can read

    MySQL or Postgres, migrations numbered and run at startup, and queries a human can debug at 6am.

  • Multi-tenant from line one

    Because "we'll add that later" is how a second branch becomes a second system.
